Thank you for taking the time to visit.

Hola! I’m Luismi Acosta.
I’m a versatile artist based in Spain who commits to telling honest stories from a place of truth, bringing emotion, active listening and genuine presence.
I started doing theatre when I was 6 years old at my school and that moment, I knew I belonged to the performing arts world and the stage. I started singing, acting and dancing at a very young age, I loved everything that had to do with performing. I was the free entertainment for my family in every birthday, wedding, any kind of celebration.
Later in time, I started my vocal and musician training. At the age of 15 I played my first leading role in front of 6000 people, and that was the moment I realized this was what I wanted to do. At the age of 18 I started my professional training as an actor at the Royal Dramatic Arts School of Madrid studying Musical Theatre. Later on, I made my professional debut at the age of 19 as Aladdin in Onbeat Company, with whom I toured all over Spain. Thanks to that experience I learned what it took to be a professional artist, I gained a lot of discipline, and was able to put into practice all the training I had learned. I grew a lot personally and professionally within the company and began to play more Disney characters like Simba, Hans from the South Islands or Kistroff.
In 2024, as I was finishing my last year of college, I received the news I had been waiting for all my life: I would be moving to New York to study at AMDA thanks their full scholarship. I was going to be a step closer to that dream I had been thinking of since I was 15. I began studying in the city, which was a big change to me that made me grow in lot of different aspects and got so inspired. At AMDA I was able to get an amazing training that focused on practical skills and getting to perform with a really extended dance training (I was doing a total of 18 hours of dance weekly in tap, jazz, ballet and theatre dance).
Offstage, I am a curious and thoughtful person. I love and enjoy connecting with nature by hiking in the mountains, listening to cast recordings, training my voice and observing how people behave in everyday life to nourish my acting work. At work, I like to create a good atmosphere, knowing how to differentiate between moments of technique and moments of enjoyment. I am a simple, charismatic guy with a great desire to create theater.
